We had the run around at the pharmacy with a new glucose meter and no test strips. After leaving the pharmacy I got a text from them saying I needed to pick up my prescription. Since I called my provider before I left the pharmacy I concluded it could only be the test strips she had called in. At least that was my thinking.
I sent my husband to pick up that prescription and he called me and said they are out! However they sent me a text. To pick up the prescription I already got? I am confused, what does this do to elders on several meds??? Pharmacies need to become more efficient. They act like they are God. Their service needs to be overhauled for the benefit of the patients not them! I have actually gone into the pharmacy to pick up a prescription I had received 3 texts for them being ready and told they did not open for 20 minutes because they were not ready. Then when they did open that prescription was not ready and I had to come back later. This was not an occasional incident this was the norm! There are places to complain and I will teach elders how to do that.
